Privacy

How Our Human Future handles personal information.

Our Human Future is operated by the owner of ourhumanfuture.net, based in Canada. Access to the website and email subscriptions is free.

Reading the site

You can read the site without creating an account or subscribing.

Technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, is processed to deliver the website and protect it from automated abuse. Our Human Future does not use advertising trackers or visitor analytics.

Subscribing to the Weekly Briefs

When you subscribe, we collect your email address, your name if you choose to provide it, your selected briefs, and a record of when and how you agreed to receive them.

The subscription form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated sign-ups. Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and connection to perform this check. We do not send a confirmation email.

We use your subscription information to manage your preferences and send the briefs you requested. Each email links to the relevant Brief PDFs on the website.

Emails are delivered through Resend. Delivery records help us identify successful deliveries, failed deliveries, bounced addresses and spam complaints. Email open and click tracking are disabled.

We do not sell your personal information or use subscription information for advertising.

Service providers

Operating the website and delivering subscriptions requires website hosting, data storage, security and email delivery services. These services process personal information as part of providing those functions.

Cloudflare provides the anti-bot check on the site’s forms, and Resend delivers subscription emails.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every subscription email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops further subscription emails.

Your subscriber details are deleted no later than seven days after you unsubscribe. You can subscribe again if you later change your mind.

Contacting us and managing your information

You can use the form on the site’s Contact page to ask a privacy question, raise a concern, request access to your personal information, or request its correction or deletion. Please identify your submission as a privacy request and provide the email address associated with your subscription.

Information you submit through that form will be used to review and respond to your request. Please do not include passwords, identity documents or other sensitive information.

You can withdraw your consent to subscription emails at any time by unsubscribing. Any additional rights available under applicable privacy law are unaffected by this notice.
